Tomorrow morning I go in for my first chemo…I can’t begin to describe the emotions & thoughts flooding my mind but I’m trying to keep my eye on the prize which is right here in this photo. Life…with them. Life.. October 6, 2021, 12:50pm. “I’m sorry honey, we see cancer” - words I never in a million years thought I’d hear from my doctor. Next came shock, anger, intense fear….how could this happen?

The last couple of weeks have been a complete blur & everything is happening really fast…I’m still trying to digest it. I.have.breast.cancer.

I thought about not sharing this & finding an easy exit from this place I love on the internet. But I realized soon after that I NEED this space & I LOVE this space. I NEED to use this space to help raise awareness and to hopefully give someone hope at a time where they feel absolutely hopeless…

There are so many unknowns right now but I am so thankful to have the love & support of my husband and family & friends who are doing everything in their power to keep my spirits up…an amazing medical team that is working to create the best plan for me…and all of you that have been through different phases of my life with me. I am hopeful that this too is a phase and that I will come out of this stronger and more resilient 🙏🏽

The good, the bad, the ugly…here we go 👊🏽🎀

And last…please, please…stay on top of your self exams and annual appointments, don’t be uninformed. Don’t put other things in front of your health. Don’t ignore signs. #breastcancerswarenessmonth
